Any tips for first day at new job? payday loan store. . . . lol?
I got a new job working for a payday loan company, and I want to know some tips for the first day of work. I was working for another payday loan company, at the corporate office, so I am alittle nervus about working at a store, with costomers and crap. Any Tips?

Smile and be confident. Take written notes on stuff you need to remember if you have to. Nobody likes the new guy who asks the same question 20 times. Good luck! I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Anytime you’re in a customer service oriented job, you will quickly find out that customers can be a real pain in the rear. Don’t let them get to you and don’t take anything personally.

you done it before, so use your experience some things will remain the same some things will be different, dont be too scared of different things you would have handled different things before

be on time, 10 minutes earlier works and dress or even overdress. you are judged much more severly in the first few weeks while everyone is still getting used to you so it pays to over-do it in a good way for the time being. don’t tell any crazy stories and just be nice, sociable but not obnoxious. go to lunch with the people you work with, get to know them. read news to have something to talk about it but don’t speak out your religious or political views, just keep neutral as much as possible.

Do not gossip or respond to gossiping. Pretend that everyone already likes you and don’t let the ones that want to intimidate you make you feel inferior.
