Get health insurance for men, 55 – Any advice?
I hope to health insurance, both for my parents. They are both 55 years old and healthy. Neither smoked or pre-existing condition. Is there any advice that do not share with me?

Work with a local agent that represents all the major companies in their area is the best tip. Health insurance companies and plans vary depending on your state. The agent can find the best plan for their situation and budget. They can explain the plans and the limitations of the plans in much more detail than can be done here. There is no extra charge using an agent.

Yes. Work with a broker that does business where they live. A broker can show them multiple plans from multiple companies.
They cost nothing to use, but it can be very costly and time consuming to not use one.

There are muliple choices for your parents. The lower the major medical deductible the higher the premium and vise versa. Other factors would include:
1. Are your parents presently employed or one or both retired?
2. Are they taking any RX drugs (Cholesterol, HBP, or any other medical drug)?
3. Any major medical surgeries?
4. Would your parents want to have supplemental riders such as Critical Illness or Accidental Coverage?
Based on the basic factors would enable your parents the opportunity of having control of the coverages and costs.
