‘Divorce’ Call to Ccut Home Loans Burden
This one case that’s happen on AN MP yesterday claimed many Bahrainis would be better off separated from their wives, because the burden of their housing loan repayments can be reduced. The declaration was made as the European Parliament demanded the Housing Department will stop calculating refunds based on couples’ total income.
MPs said this was driving living standards and alleged women may need the money for other expenses, arguing that only men should be considered income. They also claimed the ministry present system for calculating loans went against sharia, which takes into account only the man.
After discussion, the parliament approved an urgent proposal to the ministry to men to use income as a mandatory standard, whereas the addition of women’s income for other services if they agree. The only solution to a government home loan or get is to divorce his wife because many women in the workforce. The ministry is encouraging the separation of pairs in place of the concept of a happy family and this is disastrous. Many men leave the ministry and it’s a crying shame that men crying because they are unable to help their families. The operation management services director Maher Al Onais said since 1996 the calculation was based on households, not individuals, because the families had benefited.
