Leeds United Must Wait on Loan Recruits
Leeds will be thwarted in their efforts to their defense for the run-in towards strengthening promotion. Recent events have exposed the United backline as the weak link – just three Championship teams have conceded more than their 55 goals this season, including two in the relegation zone. Manager Simon Grayson was hoping for a step in the loan market for a number of Premier League players make. Leeds chairman Ken Bates believes is still possible, but pointed to the problems they have. it hope to make one or two signings this week or next, but the Premier League clubs are suffering injuries and suspensions.
In this situation where three players Simon had in mind, we had provisionally agreed to sign, now on to keep their current clubs because they need them. Bates has also shown that agents’ desire to secure full-time deals for their clients objectives set rules. Leeds are not ready for Premier League to sign contracts until they know promotion is safe. We’re not a player now that the manager of the budget for next season could hamstring signature. When we graduate, the players revise their wages, but we are not making long-term policy decisions based on future performance.”
