Insurance has increased by 10.7% in the State of Ukraine
Compared to the year 2009, the insurance company in the State of Ukraine have underwritten premium of more than UAH 22.6 billion – EUR 1.97 billion, up 10.7% in 2010. Active Players have to pay claims on Ukrainian market so that the position was UAH 6.1 billion – EUR 531.8 million. Compared with the results recorded in 2009, that number decreased by 9.4%. That’s according to data presented by Alexander FILONIUK, President of the Council, the Ukrainian League Insurer, during the Fourth edition of the International Insurance Forum, which was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
In addition, the volume of Ukrainian insurance premiums have been handed over to local reinsurers 86% of the amount of reinsurance worth UAH 11 billion – EUR 959 million. Thus, many insurance companies in Ukraine are operating in the insurance market there are 457 companies so that 67 company’s active in the life segment.
