Auto Insurance Regulators will restore more than $6 million for Policyholders
Ralph T. Hudgens as Georgia Insurance Commissioner has said that in the first six months of 2011, his department would restore more than $6 million for consumers. Then, these funds will be used to buy the product of regulators, which can help resolving thousands of disputes between policyholders and gives of cheap car insurance and other coverage.
So far this year, thousands of claim disputes had been resolved and state regulators across the nation had recovered back tens of millions of dollars for consumers. Officials explained that Nevada regulators had recovered nearly $1.8 million for policyholders. In addition, Connecticut officials would get policyholders almost $2.4 million from insurers.
In disputes over claims involving tornado damage and other events, Missouri would recover $5.2 million for policyholders. Regulatory agencies nationwide would observe coverage providers for tracking complaints against individual carriers and helping negotiate agreements between companies and policyholders.
Hudgens also said that his department that was divided between more than 24,000 consumers and businesses would restore the $6.2 million. He persuaded Georgia residents to call his department with questions or concerns about life, health, auto or other types of coverage.
In a statement, the commissioner told that consumers could contact them even if consumers just wanted their policy explained or reviewed.
