Enact has improved the energy efficiency of over 250,000 homes across the UK since being launched by Adrian Wright in 1996 with a £5,000 business loan. Through its nationwide solar energy and insulation campaigns, Enact Energy has helped to save over 14 million tones of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
Now, the company runs a call centre from its head office in Tolvaddon and employs over 50 people. Enact Energy originally offered to the homeowners the opportunity to receive grants to cavity wall insulation and improve their loft. To help homeowners reduce their heating bills, Enact Energy worked with over 100 local authorities across the UK as energy efficiency grew in popularity.
