To insurance agents, any tips on how to approach a business to try to give them a quote?
I’m a agent and all my experience has been on the auto & home, but now I want to switch to commercial business, any tips?

The commercial business is very competitive, but here is how you can approach a business owner:
Hello, Mr. Jones. My name is John Doe, and I represent the XYZ insurance agency here in Anytown. I know that some commercial insurance rates are very expensive, and business owners have to make decisions to save money any way they can. May I ask you when your policies expire?
I might be in a position to save you some money, and give you just as good or better coverage than you have now. You wouldn’t have any objection to that, would you? Would you be open to receiving a SECOND OPINION on your commercial insurance? Good. Could I stop in and share a few minutes with you on Tuesday at 9:00am, or would Thursday at 11:00 be better? Good. Please have all your business insurance policies available at that time. I’ll see you at ____ on _____.
This is an idea. You can reword it to fit the circumstance at the time.
