Property insurance bill in Tallahassee
Leader of the House and Senate have reached agreement that the budget they will vote on several high-profile bills. One of the largest bills is a sweeping property insurance bill. The Senate has freed the private insurance from the requirement to provide comprehensive coverage of sinkhole and make them just doing a duty to provide coverage for “catastrophic collapse of the ground cover”.
It was already represent about 1 percent of sinkhole claims. In the proposal, anyone who needs comprehensive sinkhole coverage must obtain it from the state-owned Citizens Property Insurance Corp. Parliament rejected a proposal to change the bill because it must replace the entire contents. The bill requires insurance companies to provide comprehensive sinkhole coverage for structural damage to the primary structure.
After delaying several days, the Senate is scheduled to take an election bill that critics and said it would make it more difficult for some people to vote. SB 2086 would prohibit voters from changing their address at the polling stations and ask them to vote while instead. Opponents of the measure say that it will have a negative impact on students and military personnel.
Some measurements will be moving through the Legislature and federal laws targeting health care. Bill that would prohibit law of the rich to purchase health insurance is a key component of federal law.
